Summary

Providers judged good for overall effectiveness will usually be inspected within three years, typically through a short inspection, to determine if they continue to provide a good standard of education and effective safeguarding. A short inspection, carried out by one or more inspectors over one or two days, will result in a report summarizing findings, but will not change the provider's overall effectiveness grade unless concerns are raised or significant improvement is noted. Inspectors will review documents such as learner lists, timetables, self-assessment reports, and outcome data, which can be uploaded to the inspection portal prior to the inspection. Full inspections may be triggered if concerns arise or if the provider may be outstanding.
