2. Background:

TechnoServe: International NGO specializing in business solutions to poverty, with a presence in over 30 countries and a focus on developing competitive farms, businesses, and industries.
Crescer 1.0 Project: Funded by Anglo American and the IDB Lab, this program targets three workstreams:
Value Chain Development: Promoting four value chains (milk & cheese, horticulture, beekeeping, tourism) with local economic focus.
Rural Workforce Development: Empowering rural youth through entrepreneurship and skill-building for labor market participation or business creation.
Ecosystem Strengthening: Building capacity of local institutions related to target value chains for long-term sustainability.

3. Key Project Outcomes (as of June 2020):

Benefited 594 people: rural producers, youth, and municipal public employees.
Supported 358 jobs.
Increased beneficiaries' revenue by an average of 33%.

4. Value Chain Development (VCD) Success Stories:

The consultancy will assess the overall effectiveness, impact, and sustainability of the Crescer 1.0 program based on available data and key stakeholder interviews. Specific tasks include:

Interviewing stakeholders (beneficiaries, implementing partners, local authorities).
Identifying lessons learned and best practices.
Formulating recommendations for program improvement and scalability.
