Global views of the United States have improved, with 46% of respondents in 28 countries viewing its influence as mostly positive, and 34% as mostly negative. The US has overtaken China in terms of positive perceptions, with 15 countries viewing China favorably on balance. Germany is the most favorably viewed nation, with 59% positive views, followed by Japan, the UK, Canada, and France. Iran is the least favorably viewed, with 15% positive views, followed by Pakistan, North Korea, Israel, and Russia.

The survey found that negative ratings of the US have dropped 9 points on average, while positive ratings are up 4 points. In contrast, ratings of other countries have declined, with the UK's influence declining significantly in 11 countries. The European Union is viewed positively by 53% of respondents, with Germany and France being the most positive about its influence.

The poll also found that views of China have stabilized, with 40% of respondents viewing it positively and 38% negatively. European countries continue to have negative views of China, while African countries have positive views. The survey was conducted among 29,977 adults in 28 countries, with a margin of error ranging from +/-2.1 to 6.9%.
