Summary

Purpose: To recognize and acknowledge significant occasions within CFNU member organizations and personal events in the lives of board members and staff, fostering solidarity.

Scope: Applies to the Board of Directors, staff, and CFNU member organizations.

Policy Statement:

- The Union (SUN) recognizes and acknowledges:
- Significant occasions in CFNU member organizations.
- Celebrations, lengthy illnesses, hospitalizations, and deaths within the immediate family of board members and staff.

Family Definition: Spouse/partner, parent or parent-in-law, sibling or sibling-in-law, children or grandchildren, grandparents or grandparents-in-law, aunt/uncle, niece/nephew, or someone with an equivalent familial relationship.

Procedure:

1. Individual Recognition: Up to $150 for personal occasions.
2. Member Organization Solidarity: Up to $500 for significant organizational events.
3. Authorization: Purchases must be approved by the President or First Vice-President.
