Summary

The Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Integrated Care System (ICS) Children and Young People's Mental Health (CYP MH) System Improvement Board has established several working groups to improve CYP's mental health and emotional wellbeing. Updates from the Prevention, Workforce, and Demand and Capacity Working Groups are provided. The Prevention Working Group has mapped out local preventative offers and aims to share this information and use the government's Prevention Concordat to identify areas for improvement. The Workforce Working Group is examining vacancy positions and establishing relationships with colleagues to link together Operational Plans and Intervention Programmes. The Demand and Capacity Working Group is working to understand demand and capacity for CYP mental health support across the system. Additionally, the Mental Health Leads in Education Network is providing support, information, and ideas for colleagues from education settings across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent.
