Summary

The study examined the effect of 4% bypass fat and 26% concentrate supplementations in buffalo basal diet on carcass characteristics, meat nutrient contents, and profitability. Results showed that supplemented bypass fat increased pre-slaughter weight, hot and cold carcass weights, and improved meat quality, but also increased feeding costs. However, it resulted in higher revenue and net profit, making it a profitable option without detrimental effects on carcass characteristics.
