The method uses a Gaussian mixture model (GMM) to predict the F0 contour of normal speech from the spectral features of electrolaryngeal speech, and the predicted F0 contour is used to control the F0 of the electrolarynx. The simulation experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve high correlation coefficients between the predicted and target F0 contours, and the subjective evaluation results show that the proposed method can improve the naturalness of electrolaryngeal speech without degrading its intelligibility.
