Taskmaster-1 is a dataset of 13,215 task-based dialogs in six domains, created using two procedures: a two-person "Wizard of Oz" approach and a "self-dialog" approach, with crowdsourced workers interacting with human operators or writing the entire dialog themselves. The dataset contains more realistic and diverse conversations than existing datasets, with dialogs labeled with simple API calls and arguments, allowing for a given model to interact with multiple services. Baseline models, including state-of-the-art neural seq2seq architectures, are presented, along with perplexity and BLEU scores, and qualitative human performance evaluations.
